About Us

Owner of W.I.T. Fitness & Barbell, Darrell Lutz, has been coaching people of all ages and fitness levels since 1998.  W.I.T.’s programming includes a wide variety of movements to meet the wide variety of fitness needs any athlete or person wanting to be healthy may have.

W.I.T. is a place unlike any other in that we offer programming that is specifically suited for each individual and their specific goals. We understand that each person’s training needs are unique to them, so we individualize the programming in order to provide the balance necessary for a successful training program.

Whether your goal is to gain muscle, regain the strength you once had after a previous injury, improve your stamina, or just to lose weight, W.I.T. Fitness & Barbell will allow you to do all of those things.

At W.I.T. you are not just another “member”, instead you are an athlete that is supported and coached in the way that is going to enable you to meet your fitness goals no matter what they are.

The athletes at our gym are working professionals, full-time moms, students, teachers, collegiate athletes, and “weekend warriors”, to name a few and people of all walks of life have found success with Darrell, no matter what their lifestyle may entail.

W.I.T. Fitness & Barbell incorporates body-weight movements, cardiovascular exercise, and weightlifting.  We are also an United States Powerlifting Association (USPA) affiliate as well as a Level 2 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) weightlifting club.

All of our movements are necessary for a healthy level of mobility in life such as squatting, safely picking objects up from the ground, pressing and pulling, and yet everything we do is scalable to your individual abilities and needs.

Our gym is an affordable place that will suit what you are hoping to achieve both physically and mentally allowing you to reach those goals that have been, up until now, unobtainable.

We offer coaching in a fun, supportive group atmosphere so you can get healthy and strong in a comfortable environment along with other like-minded individuals, so come on in and give us a try!

Rates

Group Coaching  

Includes unlimited number of visits to all classes offered within the month.

$190 per month; *   1 year– $2,090

Drop-in fee– $20 per class

Individualized Coaching

Programming based specifically on your physical needs and fitness goals.  This is offered to those able to make it to WIT Fitness & Barbell, and those that must complete their training elsewhere, which is a great opportunity for those looking for personal training outside of the Livermore area, or people who travel often.

The individualized programming will be provided on a weekly basis and adjusted week to week dependent on the participants’ feedback and progress.

$225 per month for WIT members                                                                              (includes general membership+group classes+individualized programming)

$100 per month for non-members                                                                                (includes individualized programming ONLY)

Student Athletes’ Strength, Speed & Agility Training- ages 10 & up

$150 per month for 2 days/week

$190 per month, unlimited classes

Overall Wellness Coaching

Includes unlimited number of visits to all classes offered within the month at WIT Fitness & Barbell AND an individualized nutrition program through Darrell Lutz Nutrition.  For best results, a minimum 12-month commitment is required (for no other reason than because that is the length of time it takes to achieve your goals).

$290 per month (12 month commitment);  recurring monthly billing. No additional discounts applied.

Jump Startto introduce proper form, the foundational movements, and  regularly used terminology 

3 one-on-one (or small group) sessions– $300 (pricing includes the 3 sessions + first month’s coaching)

Membership Discounts

Couples— $325/month for the pair;  1 year– $3,575

Educators & Special Services*--$165/month;  1 year–$1,815
